"You could call it coldwave, you could call it darkwave, but if anyone's invented a genre called post-apocalypticwave then this must be what it sounds like. The noise they make is huge and feels like brute force." - The Sound of Confusion
Feverish from their CMW 2016 showcase in Toronto Canada following strong self-released singles "Speed", "Killer On The Road", "Taste". BYSTS, thrust back in the studio present you this garage-y cathartic release.
"BYSTS are a Salt Lake City-based electronic rock duo and one of my favorite new discoveries of the year! High energy drums and emotive melodies come together here to produce some very memorable hooks." - SOUNDFLY
Offer Your Throat realizes textured and melodic compositions expressing an obvious eclectic & deep affinity for their shoegaze, & post-punk roots but also less well known influences of trip/hip hop idols Massive Attack and Def Jux founder EL-P.
"It's a prismatic filtration of howling, reverb-drenched guitars. It's a dangerous sojourn into a sonic hurricane in search of the vocal harmonies within the storm's eye." - SL CITY WEEKLY
Offer Your Throat establishes itself as beautifully balanced with emotion and aggression. Relatable lyrical honesty & melody create an album uncommonly prescient & uniquely its own.
Bryan and Stefanie have played with Autolux, Black Angels, Neon Trees, Black Lips, Mini Mansions, Ben Kweller, Dead Meadow, Spindrift, Strange Boys, White Rabbits, Dengue Fever, Swervedriver, The Growlers , White Hills, Chrystal Stilts

"I love when a rhythm is perfectly suited for the music played on top of it, and 'Speed' is fucking tits... oozing evil like a motherfucker, that's BYSTS"
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude, put this on loud in a dark room and don't fucking blink. This shit from BYSTS is like a highlight film of every desktop computer and smart phone wallpaper ever made, and it's fucking chilling. The scenes with the different colored smoke in slow motion looks like the shit is almost being poured out of whatever the fuck is creating said colored smoke.
I love when a rhythm is perfectly suited for the music played on top of it, and "Speed" is fucking tits. BYSTS have somehow created an alternate soundtrack for that one scene in Ghostbusters after that asshole Peck opens up the captured ghosts storage device and all the shits stream up out the roof of HQ and all over the Manhattan skyline. Oozing evil like a motherfucker, that's BYSTS.
And for the record, I pronounce BYSTS as "bists", and no I don't know what it means either. And yes, I don't care.
