With the release of crushing debut singles, 'Killer on the Road,' 'Taste' and 'Speed' in Spring 2016, Salt Lake City's BYSTS are becoming one of the quickest growing guitar-heavy, electronic dream pop duos in the West, amassing more than 90K plays on Soundcloud, Spotify and YouTube in less than six months.

Following their debut singles, BYSTS, were invited to headline their night at the internationally respected music festival Canadian Music Week 2016 in Toronto. The young duo, featuring guitarist/vocalist Bryan Holbrook and bassist/vocalist Stefanie Marlow, came together to create something wholly their own. The end result was a modern distinct sound reminiscent of Massive Attack, SlowdiveLove & RocketsTelescopesSpiritualized and Primal Scream.

By writing, recording, producing, mixing and mastering their own music, BYSTS have been able to cultivate an individual sound through complete artistic freedom resulting in unique & beautifully rich compositions.

BYSTS have been featured in American Songwriter well-known blogs like Sounds Better With Reverb, The Blog That Celebrates ItselfThe Sound of ConfusionSYFFALPsychgazer & many others.

SYFFAL wrote:  “Speed" is fucking tits…oozing evil like a motherfucker” while Sounds Better With Reverb remarked about the shoegaze single Taste, “[It's] an explosive noise rocker with sonic bombs and loads of attitude!” while The Sound of Confusion observed: “[BYSTS] ends up sounding not unlike something from 'XTRMNTR'-era Primal Scream.” BYSTS first singles expressed a dark wave psychedelic sound with beautifully lush pop arrangements and moody, hypnotic swells backed by a blazing wall of noise.
